Bassist Omer Avital, bastion of the Smalls jazz scene in the 1990s, helped open a club called Wilson Live in Bushwick a few years ago. It flooded during Hurrican Ida, so Avital has taken his Wilson Live act on the road (not that it’s a very long road to Bed-Stuy). This band continues the Moroccan/Yemenite Israeli Avital’s recent exploration of Middle Eastern/North African music.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  You should at least buy some drinks from the venue.  But if you want some more interesting and substantial food than LunÀtico serves, nice pizza and tapas at Saraghina.
