A solidly enjoyable bill. Griffin Brown does beaty electronics, he does Pop songs, he improvises on drums, he writes classical pieces. Margaux is that rare thing: a singer-songwriter who bothers to write interesting music (and whose lyrics aren’t confessional). Darian Donovan Thomas composes and plays (on many different instruments) droning yet communicative pieces that are good to listen to.
