Ensemble Connect does one of their typically piquant programs, combining inti figgis-vizueta, Gabriela Lena Frank, and Tania León with Beethoven. (The difference between a program like this and the ones where a new piece is tacked onto a bunch of Standard Rep is that here it’s Beethoven that’s tacked onto the contemporary stuff that’s the focus of the show, conveying the perhaps misleading impression that classical music has a pulse.)
