Joseph Keckler’s cabaret opera should never work. But it somehow does. For this show, he’s joined by Grace Bergere, who is one of those Rockish singer-songwriters who still somehow manages to be kind of good (in her case because she’s as interested in creating dark compelling textures as she is in wallowing in whatever her immediate problems might be).
