Liz Durette started out kind of doing jazz, but has moved more into experimental electronics. She says the music on her new album is supposed to invoke the French Baroque, but I’m still waiting to hear it. I find the Electropop of Asher White consistently winning because it’s twee on purpose. Anastasia Coope is a rare Psych-Folk singer-songwriter whose songs are actually good — maybe because she’s sure to let them space out.
