Cuban vocalist Daymé Arocena is a force of nature. She’s not Aretha, of course — but that’s the kind of effect she has. On the new album she’s featuring in tonight’s program, she goes pop. But I wouldn’t worry: in places like Cuba, genre distinctions don’t bear much weight — and in any event, it seems like Arocena can sing anything.
