Legendary pianist Ursula Oppens invites a bunch of other pianists to celebrate her 80th Birthday with a relay through the kind of repertoire she’s has been favoring us with for decades, including pieces by (inexhaustively — but know that it’s all good) Carter, Nancarrow, Tower, Wuorinen, and Michael Stephen Brown, whose lack of vast renown as a composer mystifies me (even if he didn’t write “Walk Away Renée”).
