I dislike the idea of Tengger — a Pan-Asian couple (whatever that means: there are only two of them, and Asia is a very big continent) who travel the world playing New Agey music with their young son dancing in front of them — but I can’t deny the music. Harmonium, electronics, and toy instruments (which the boy plays when he’s not dancing): instrumentation that’s right up my alley. And the music is bright and affecting — not the insipid drivel you’d fear (while remaining very spacey) (thank Whomever).
