Sonic explorer Jeremiah Cymerman will celebrate the onset of middle age with a solo clarinet-and-electronics set, a set by his hypnometal band (along with Toby Driver and Mario Diaz de Leon) Bloodmist, and a set with an ensemble that is truly star-studded (by the standards of this admittedly obscure music).

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  Birthday Daiquiri:  pour 1-1/2 oz. white Rum, 1 oz. lime juice, and 3/4 oz. Simple Syrup, with 1 grapefruit peel, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.  Shake.  Strain into an ice-filled Martini glass, coupe, or Nick and Nora glass.  Top with Champagne.  Happy birthday!
