The new album by current boss vibes player Joel Ross really is all that. So this show — another treat for people who like to listen to vibraphones — is something of a victory lap.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Those listening at home can relax with a La Louisiane: pour 3/4 oz. each of Rye, sweet Vermouth, and Bénédictine, and 3/4 teaspoon of Absinthe, with 3 dashes of Peychaud's bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Those who snag a seat at the venue can go down the block to The NoMad.
