Pulitizer music laureate Anthony Davis — who could be Exhibit A for Why You Shouldn't Bother Trying To Distinguish Jazz From Classical — premieres a new piece featuring no less than Anthony McGill on clarinet (conducted by another non-stranger to NYC, CSO Music Director Louis Langrée). There's also an old breakout piece by Julia Perry, a Black female composer from the mid-20th Century who maybe doesn't get revived much even now cuz she was a bit out of the box (which makes her sound absolutely fresh at present). And I'll never complain about listening to Schubert's supernal Unfinished Symphony, ever.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Cincinnati Cocktail: pour 1/2 pint Beer (your choice) and 1/2 pint soda water into a Pint glass. Drink. Repeat.
