The Brooklyn Raga Renaissance goes global (and online!) for a 24-hour festival featuring music by players beaming in from around the world (and from different musical traditions) giving their various takes on good ol' Carnatic.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Curry Scotch Smash: pour 2 oz. blended Scotch and 3/4 oz. each of lemon juice and Curry Simple Syrup (Simple Syrup that you blended some curry powder into when cooking, duh), with a handful of mint leaves, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a Highball or Collins glass over ice. Garnish with a mint sprig.
