Reena Esmail combines Hindustani (as distinct from Carnatic) usages with the instrumentation and forms of Western classical music. Her work is riveting. You also get to hear Dvorák's American String Quartet, a piece that by all rights I should hate — but what with its endless melodic exuberance and irresistible good feeling (I'm being embarrassingly honest here), I just don't.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Bohemian: pour 1 oz. Becherovka, 1/4 oz. St-Germain, 3/4 oz. pineapple juice, and 1/2 oz. lemon juice into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a cucumber slice.
