Phill Niblock drones on as if we were still in the Theatre of Eternal Music (as does La Monte Young, for that matter). This year his annual Winter Solstice marathon migrates online, with its usual combination of music and film. This would be a totally solid recommendation if Roulette didn't consistently fuck up streamed transmissions of multi-media presentations.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Winter Cocktail: pour 2 oz. Rum, 1/2 oz. lime juice, 1 teaspoon each of Domain de Canton (or other ginger liqueur) and Pimento Dram (a/k/a Allspice Dram), with 1 teaspoon of sugar, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.
