Blind street musician Moondog — praised by Toscanini and Rodzińsky; a direct influence on the young Glass and Reich — somehow managed to anticipate Alt Classical in the '50s and '60s, with his (proto-)minimalism and vernacular rhythms.  A real all-alt-star lineup (Theo Bleckmann!  JG Thirlwell!  Karen Mantler!  Joan Wasser!) should do this marvelous music proud.
