MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  Gin Daisy:  pour 2 oz. Gin, 1 teaspoon Grand Marnier (or other orange liqueur), 1 teaspoon simple syrup, and 1/2 oz. lemon juice into an ice-filled cocktail shaker, shake, strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe, top with soda water, and garnish with a lemon twist.
