MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  A Rolls Royce of a cocktail:  pour 1/2 oz. Gin, 1/2 oz. each of sweet and dry Vermouth, and 1/2 teaspoon Bénédictine into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.  Stir.  Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.  If you're feeling extravagant, garnish with an orange twist.
