Ilana Cravitz's nigun-a-day Klezmer fiddle project reaches Michael Alpert, a hero of the Klezmer Revival back in the day, unafraid to assimilate (see what I did there?) contemporary popular usages.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  A Susina Sour:  pour 1 oz. Gin, 1-1/2 oz. each of Grand Marnier, Slivovitz, and lemon juice, and 1/4 oz. Honey Syrup into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.  Shake.  Strain into a rocks glass.  Garnish with a rosemary sprig and a cocktail cherry.
