Celebrating significant birthdays of two great composers, Vienna's Ludwig van Beethoven and New York's Aaron Jay Kernis.  Kernis and members of his family will participate in the music-making.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  Let's celebrate with French 75s:  pour 1-1/2 oz. Cognac and 1/2 oz. each lemon juice and simple syrup into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.  Shake.  Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.  Top with Champagne.
