MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  Before there were Sidecars, there was the Brandy Crusta:  moisten the rim of a Martini glass or coupe with lemon and rim it with sugar.  Pour 2 oz. Brandy and 3 teaspoons each of Curaçao, Maraschino liqueur, and lemon juice, with 2 dashes of Angostura bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.  Shake.  Strain into the glass.  Garnish with a very long lemon twist (extra points if you can sort of ring it around the interior of the glass).
