The Jazz Gallery starts yet another welcome online initiative, this time a weekly series of straight-up concerts.  It's starting with the terrific Joel Ross, the current boss vibes player in jazz.  It appears to be sold out already — yeah, online shows can somehow sell out — but there's a wait list.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  Been a while since we've had a Brooklyn:  pour 2 oz. Rye, 3/4 oz. Vermouth Blanc, and 1/4 oz. each of Maraschino liqueur and Bigallet China-China (if you don't have any, get some:  you'll thank me) into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.  Stir.  Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.
