La MaMa's showcase of beyond-the-fringe performers returns for a second season with what, for it, is a truly star-studded show.  Among those stars are DJ Spooky, Big Dance Theater (doing a piece based on the Decameron — which I, for one, haven't heard about in, oh, it must be three days now), and the greatest political theater company in the entire world, Belarus Free Theatre (whose concerns must seem particularly pressing these days) (mark my words:  our time will come soon enough).

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  A true modern classic, Julie Reiner's Gin Blossom:  pour 1-1/2 oz. Gin and 3/4 oz. each of Vermouth Blanc and Apricot Eau de Vie, with two dashes of orange bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.  Stir.  Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.  Garnish with a lemon twist.
