This list is a huge fan of Panoply Performance Laboratory's fun, edgy operas. As for tonight's piece, Heidegger certainly presents his problems. But the philosopher who equated being with time, and who argued that the self can only achieve realization through the confrontation with the fact of death, has something to say to us at this exact moment in time.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Archbishop: pour 1/2 oz. Smith & Cross Rum, 1 oz. Campari, and 1/2 oz. green Chartreuse into a rocks glass over ice. Stir. Garnish with an orange twist.
