Peter Evans is about as exploratory trumpet player as you can imagine — and here he heads an equally exploratory quartet.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Keyes: pour 2 oz. Bourbon, 3/4 oz. Cynar, and 1/2 oz. each of lemon juice and Demerara Syrup into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.
