Visions, saxophonist Melissa Aldana's set of compositions for jazz quartet drawing on the life and work of Frida Kahlo, was strikingly good. So this live traversal is kind of a big deal.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, elegant Mod Chinese-Korean at Joomak Banjum. Streaming at home, have a Tom Cat: pour 12 oz. each of Old Tom Gin and Mezcal, and 3/4 oz. each of Fino or Manzanillo Sherry and sweet Vermouth, with 2 dashes each of Orange bitters and either Lemon or Grapefruit bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake (oddly). Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe over some ice (oddly). Garnish with grapefruit slices.
