Adam O'Farrill (yes he has the same last name — and some of the same DNA — as great musicians from the last two generations of jazz) is a stellar young trumpeter. You'd like to say he plays trumpet like the jazz guy who listens to Messiaen that he is, but actually he's a lot sparer than that supersaturated master. The scary part is that he's only getting better.
