For its last live stream for a while, the Vanguard presents Dayna Stephens, one of those sax players who's solidly in the tradition, but fresh (the tradition's been through a lot by now, after all). And he's leading a great quartet.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: We can still drink Fillibusters, even if we need to get rid of them in the Sentate: pour 1-1/2 oz. Rye, 3/4 oz. lemon juice, and 1/2 oz. maple syrup, with an egg white (as usual, use the yolk in a Carbonara), into a cocktail shaker WITHOUT ice. Dry shake. Add ice. Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with 2 or 3 dashes of Angostura bitters.
