In this continuing series in which contemporary female artists riff on pieces from a 1970s women's art periodical edited by Alison Knowles and Annea Lockwood, the Israeli sonic explorer Maayan Tsadka responds to a set of pieces by the exalted Lockwood herself.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Puritan (close to an Alaska, oddly: what do Puritans have to do with Alaska?): pour 2 oz. Gin, 3/4 oz. yellow Chartreuse, and 1/2 oz. dry Vermouth, with 2 dashes of orange bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a lemon twist.
