As you've heard me say several times, Pamela Z is one of the performer/composers I always push on people who claim they don't like "this kind of music". Her vocal/electronic soundscapes are fascinating, compelling, immediately accessible and, indeed, enjoyable. Her performances are riveting: the movements she must make to control the several sound sources she employs aren't just part of the show, they are the show. And she's just dripping with charisma (this is getting embarrassing). So obviously watch this if you like the kind of music this List focuses on. But be sure to try it if you think you don't.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Deep Blue Sea: pour 2 oz. Gin, 3/4 oz. Lilet Blanc (or Cocci Americano or Kino l'Aréo d'Or), and 1/4 oz. Crème de Violette, with 1 dash of orange bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.
