Maybe if you're musicians as totally awesome as drummaster Tomas Fujiwara and star bassist Meshell Ndageocello, you really don't have to try: music just comes out of your fingers. This is their premiere collaboration; Fujiwara did the composing.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Act of Faith: pour 1-1/2 oz. Jamaican rum (I'm still crushing on The Funk), 1/2 oz. each of black Rum (I still think Gosling's Black Seal is an almost amazing value) and Pedro Ximenez Sherry, and 1/4 oz. of Angostura bitters into a rocks glass over ice. Stir. Garnish with an orange twist.
