One thing about our current regime of pop omnivorousness/anti-genre theorizing is that any genre is ripe for appreciation. It might be a sign of mental deterioration — OK, let's call it "mellowing" — during Quarantine that I have come to see some good things about New Age music (I mean, Beverly Glenn-Copeland: GREAT! Am I right?). And apparently I'm not alone. Percussionist-about-town Clara Warnaar (a really key performer on the local Alt Classical/Pop/What's The Difference? scene) assembles a bunch of colleagues to reinterpret New Age. I could use this, frankly.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Zen Collins: muddle 4 cucumber slices at the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Pour in 2 oz. Silver Tequila, 3/4 oz. lime juice, and 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup. Add ice. Shake. Strain into a Collins glass over ice. Top with soda water. Garnish with a cucumber wheel and some dill.
