That is one wide-ranging, well-selected group of composers trumpeter Marquis Hill has assembled. But not taking anything away from the excellent Hill, one has to get most excited about the participation of the Altoist Of The Moment, Immanuel Wilkins.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: This has to get a Manhattan, right? Pour 2 oz. Rye (or Bourbon if you must) and 1 oz. sweet Vermouth, with 2 dashes of Angostura bitters, i into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a cocktail cherry.
