There aren't many sure things in this world, but ab fab vocal ensemble Quince doing David Lang's Love Fail, incorporating the Tristan legend, is one.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Ideally you'd drink a love potion you think is a death potion. Absent that, try a Cornwall Negroni: pour 2 oz. Gin and 1/2 oz. each of sweet Vermouth, Punt e Mes, and Campari, with 2 dashes orange bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with an orange twist.
