This epic all-day all-City music festival is always so widespread in location, genre, and (it must be said) quality that it's hard to write about. Here are a few picks — but you really owe it to yourself to peruse the schedule (when you have a spare day or two) to see what appeals: a tribute to the French pedagogue Nadia Boulanger, the godmother of 20th Century American classical music, at Pier 1, Riverside Park from 4:00-7:00 PM; dance by Jody Oberfelder to music by Frank London about the work of Rube Goldberg, from 6:30-8:00 PM at the East River Park Bandshell; In C from 7:00-8:15 PM at the Harborview Lawn on Pier 1 in Brooklyn Bridge Park; and a piece by Elliot Cole for flowerpot from 7:30-8:30 PM on the Nethermead in Prospect Park.
