A newish project by the fabulous rock singer-songwriter Stew, mashing up African-American and Asian influences, engages in an evening-long musical interchange with the art-pop band led by its violinist/keyboardist, Dana Lyn. Anything Stew does is worth attending to.
MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: If you go, you'll be drinking at the venue, obvs. The show will run late, so you'll have to grab dinner before — maybe at local favorite Pasta Louise. At home, have a New York Cocktail: pour 1-1/2 oz. Rye, 1/2 oz. lime juice, and 1/4 teaspoon of Grenadine, with 1/2 teaspoon of confectioners' sugar, into a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice. Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with an orange twist.
