I don’t actually know anything about Lauren Sarah Hayes. But she’s billed as an “Extreme Vocalist from Brazil”, a phrase that has three of my favorite words in it (“from” I can take or leave). (ETA: Oh wait, I just listened to some of her stuff. She’s GREAT! Glitch, noise, snatches of melody [but only snatches]. Also, describing her as a “vocalist” leaves out all the electronics with a chance of piano. Go to this!) (PS: She’s actually Scottish.)

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Too bad Miss Favela is closed on Wednesdays. Maybe some good cocktails, great interior, and snacky seafood at Deux Chats.
