It’s been a decade since Transylvanian pianist Lucian Ban got together with American violist Mat Manieri to make composed/improvised music (you know: Jazz) that it is highly evocative (although not of anything cheery). Be warned, though: if there’s one thing this music isn’t, it’s fast.
