Composer Douglas J. Cuomo’s work is eclectic in the goodsense — and nice to listen to (with the advantages and disadvantages that adjective evokes). This piece for an inventive guitarist and string quartet should be extra nice.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, nice enough bistro at Bacchus. Streaming at home, have a Last Word:: pour in 3/4 oz. each of Gin, green Chartreuse, Maraschino liqueur, and lime juice into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a cocktail cherry — but only if you want to.
