Exploratory guitarist/singer-songwriter Wendy Eisenberg underwent eye surgery, and was surprised at the changes in perception that came with restored vision. This new extended piece for a new mixed-ensemble (translation: band) ensued.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, eclectic food at As You Are. Streaming at home, have a Glad Eye: pour 1-1/2 oz. Absinthe and 1 oz. each of Crème de Menthe and chilled water into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a whole star anise in the unlikely event you happen to have one.
