Johnnie Cruise Mercer is just great: he does pieces that are specifically personal but backed by generalized philosophical analysis. AND, he’s fun to watch! Don’t know Jesse Zaritt, but his proposed use of bodybuilding rituals to examine African-American Ashkenazi(!!!!!!) life could not be of more interest to, at least, me.
