In the world of experimental electronic music, Montreal’s Kara-Lis Coverdale is something special. Her textures are gorgeous (may have something to do with her being an organist — indeed a church organist — aside from being an electritian). Her forms (a) exist and (b) even have an underlying rigor. Ambient music that isn’t boring: if she had a band, she could call it Better Than Eno.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: The Oaxacan food at Claro is really good — and the backyard garden is a wonderful place to eat.
