The Pittsburgh Invasion of East Williamsburg continues with this show by an ensemble whose home-city activities I follow longingly from Brooklyn (OK: we do have some good music here in Brooklyn, too). They’ll be doing stuff by the kind of composers we favor here at the List (as well as some people I’ve never heard of but would be happy to get to know aurally if Kamratōn has decided to play them): another show I want you all to go to for me while I’m laid up.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Taiwanese Wave pioneer Win Son has suffered the fate of many influential New York restaurants: the dispersal of its original kitchen staff, and the achievements of its successors, have rendered it not quite up to its rather stunning salad days. Which isn’t to say it still isn’t well worth eating at.
