The world-beating JACK Quartet plays a brand-new quartet by Eric Wubbels, who manages to bring together threads of American Minimalism and the High Modern European Avant-Garde (and now he’s adding something almost akin to jazz into the mix). Then something by Catherine Lamb, another of the current composers (she’s Wandelweiser-adjacent) who are really following in the expansive footsteps of Bruckner (even if they don’t know it).
