Many of us first knew Eszter Balint as an actress in Stranger than Paradise. But she’s a good singer-songwriter in a stripped-down Rock style that I for one find very enticing (hell, I’m so pathetic I’m even moderately excited about the new Stones album). For this first night of a month-long residency she’s accompanied by another Jarmusch-actress/musician, bassist/vocalist Felice Rosser.
