Galway’s Druid Theater’s stripped-down productions are like punches in the gut. And their marathon presentations of related pieces are like, I dunno, extended pummellings (in a good way). You’re not gonna find a sharper set of plays than Sean O’Casey’s The Plough and the Stars, The Sadow of the Gunman, and Juno and the Paycock, tragicomedies that cut, while the dialogue puts a luminous face on the quotidian. If you want a good theatrical experience, go to one of the single shows; if you want an overwhelming one, go to one of the Saturday marathons.
