One of the things that makes choreographer Bill T. Jones such an affecting artist is the concreteness at the heart of his abstraction. This excellent, provoking, and ultimately uplifting piece presents race theory, but also current events; movement vocabulary culled from Jones’s and Arnie Zane’s now-extensive catalogue — and at bottom a questioning of what it means to be human.
