A nice program of performers weaving in and out of songform. Darian Donovan Thomas composes and plays (on many different instruments) droning yet communicative pieces that are good to listen to. Julia Easterlin does attractive Chamber-Pop with interesting structures. Drinking Bird is sorta jazz, sorta pop, with strong melodies and spaced-out improvisations.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Go to Kafana. Bring cash cuz they don’t take plastic. Bring a hunger cuz their Serbian food is HEARTY. Bring a thirst because their appre le lettre Natural wine list is extensive.
