Even after more than 45 years (can that be RIGHT????), multi-instrumentalist Peter Apfelbaum’s kalaidoscopic big band never fails to surprise and intrigue.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, José Andrés cocktails and bar snacks at the sky-high Nubeluz. Streaming at home, have an Applejack Sour: pour 2 oz. Laird’s Bonded Apple Brandy, 3/4 oz. lemon juice, and 1/2 oz. each of orange juice and maple syrup, with 2 dashes of Angostura bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake long and hard. Strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with nutmeg.
