When Medeski, Martin & Wood broke out, they seemed too douchey to take seriously. But drummer Billy Martin has played too well in too many forward-leaning contexts to be disregarded. Playing with Saxophonist Of The Moment Zoh Amba certainly attracts our attention tonight. Electronic composer/musician Dominic Coles has his antic side — but he employs silences pervasively enough to have had his work published by Wandelweiser.
