The unique piano/percussion quartet Yarn/Wire’s annual (are we at the point yet where we don’t have to add the obligatory caveat, “with the obvious haitus”?) concert of commissioned premieres. This year we have new pieces by Jessie Cox, Jordan Dykstra, and Heather Stebbins (who will also contibute electronics).

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, eclectic New American at As You Are. Streaming at home, have a Duplex: pour 1-1/2 oz. each of dry Vermouth and sweet Vermouth, with 1 dash of either Angostura bitters or orange bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.
